Cork Ecumenical Secretaries join Cork Muslim Foundation for Iftar Celebration at Blarney Street Mosque and condemn recent attack on Imam Ihab Ahmed The ecumenical secretaries in Cork (representing the Catholic Church, the Church of Ireland the Methodist Church and the Presbyterian Church) were horrified to hear of and deplore the recent most dreadful attack on Imam Ihab Ahmed in Cork city this week. As Christians we firmly believe there is no justification for any act of violence carried out for sectarian or any other reason.

Fr Colin’s Farewell ‘do’ and Presentation

We finally got to say farewell and thanks to Fr Colin who left us in August to take up his new appointment as parish priest of Mahon parish. Fr Colin ministered as our parish curate from June 2008 to August 2014 and the parishioners of Frankfield/Grange came out in their numbers to express their appreciation and thanks for his pastoral ministry over the previous six years.

An Appreciation – Liam O’Shea R.I.P. (1950-2014) Shamrock Lawn

It was with much sadness the parish learned of Liam’s untimely death, following an accident; he died in the presence of his loving family. There was a huge attendance at his removal and Requiem Mass – a testament to the loving husband, dad, granddad, brother, uncle, caring neighbour and friend.
