“It is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from their sins”   (2 Mac 12:46)

St John's Cemetery

The Novena of Masses in honour of the holy souls begins at the 10am Mass on Thursday, 2nd November, and concludes on Friday, 10th November with the 10am Mass. Masses are offered each weekday at 10am, also on the weekend Masses of 9/10th November – 10am and 6.30pm Saturday (Vigil) and Sunday Masses at 10am & 11.30am for our deceased family members, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Branches are located in the sanctuary during November, the month of the holy souls, and parishioners are invited to write their deceased loved one’s name on the cards provided and place them on the branches.

Envelopes and name lists for the Novena of Masses for the souls of our beloved dead will be available at the back of the church and will also be delivered to the homes in the parish. Please return your completed list to the parish office (postbox on wall), to the presbytery, or the sacristy.

Branches, stripped of their leaves, now stand proud bearing the names of our deceased loved ones.
