STATION MASS for Ballinvoskig, Fort William, Upper Grange, Wilsfort and Ballinreesig will be celebrated next Friday 22nd November at 8pm in the home of Jeremiah & Ann Coakley;       we encourage each household to try and have a representative.

A LITTLE LIFETIME FOUNDATION: ‘Light of Life’ Tree Lighting Ceremony beside City Hall, The Plaza, The Mall, Cork on Sunday 17th November at 2pm; featuring Chrisy Kenneally, All welcome. A Little Life Time Foundation(formally ISANDS) is a national charity supporting parents whose babies passed away at or around the time of death.

DO THIS IN MEMORY MASS: Next Saturday we welcome the children and their families who are preparing for First Holy Communion. The Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 23rd November at 6.30pm.                                                    

CHRISTMAS TRIDUUM MASSES: Christmas Triduum Mass Bouquet cards are now available from the parish office and sacristy. 10am Masses celebrated on Saturday December 21st Monday 23rd & Tuesday 24th will be offered for the intentions of all the names placed on the altar; card €1 & offering €3.                                           

SUNDAY DEVOTIONS: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Rosary will take place in the Little Chapel at the back of the church on Sunday 17th November.

Christmas Open House, Bride Park Cottage, Killumney: D.J. Murphy is holding his Christmas Open House over the last 2 weekends in November. The charities to benefit are Marymount University Hospice and  Alzheimer’s Day Care Centre, Bandon; season refreshments will be served. Opening Dates and Times: Thursday, November 21st – Sunday 24th and Thursday, November 28th –  Sunday December 1st.  Thursday and Friday 6pm – 10pm, Saturday: 2pm – 9pm, Sunday: 12 noon – 8pm.

TAIZÉ MASS: The St Finbarr’s NET Team invites you to a Taizé Mass on tomorrow Saturday 16th November in the South Parish, St. Finbarr’s Church at 6pm with tea and biscuits afterwards. Please feel free to contact them for further questions:

CHRISTMAS AT THE CATHEDRAL of St. Mary and St. Anne’s is holding their Christmas Concert on Sunday 1st  December. Featuring: School of Music Junior Youth Orchestra under their conductor Terry Mc Carthy. Dundanion Singers under their choir director Terry Mc Carthy. Cathedral Choir under their choir director Ann Roche. Commences at 3.30pm. Admission Free. Doors open at 3pm. All Welcome.

DAYS OF RECOLLECTION on Saturday 23rd November in St. Benedict’s Priory, The Mount, Cobh, The theme this month is: God with Us. First talk begins at 11am. Holy Mass at the Priory at 9.00am or at nearby St. Colman’s Cathedral at 10.00am. Day includes time for Adoration, Monastic Liturgy of the Hours, ends with tea at 3.30. Lunch is provided. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION every Friday after 10am Mass until 8pm.

OFFERTORY COLLECTION last weekend (9/10th November) amounted to €1260, 2nd collection for Church Refurbishment Fund came to €911. 2nd collection this weekend (16/17th Nov.) is for Pre-Marriage Support Services; thank you for your continued generosity.  
Annual Christmas Fair in aid of the Greater Chernobyl Cause will be held in the Marian Hall, Ballinhassig  Co Cork 0n Sunday  17th November from 11am – 5pm. An excellent array of Christmas gifts including: Knitwear and Creations by top Irish Clothes Designers, Jewellery, Ceramics, Candles, Toys, Christmas Cards, Decorations, Books etc., will be on sale at extremely reasonable prices. 45 CARD DRIVE: Monday 18th November from 7.30pm in the parish centre. Now that the evenings are getting shorter come along and enjoy a friendly chat and a cuppa; both experienced and beginners are always warmly welcome.
 ACTIVE RETIRED AUTUMN SEASON: Pilates: Tuesday @10.45am, Wednesday Cuppa and chat after 10am Mass, gentle exercise and relaxation 2 -3 pm on Monday,  
followed by Line Dancing from 3-4pm. All are welcome. All takes place in the parish centre. All activities in the parish centre are up and running, see poster in the church porch for the timetable. 
ACTIVE RETIRED: We will be having a local Pharmacist attend our gathering to give a talk on Wednesday 20th November at 10.30am in the parish centre;         everyone is welcome to come along

 DOUGLAS AND DISTRICT CARDIAC SUPPORT GROUP meet on the 1st Thursday each month, from September to June. Venue: Lion House, Douglas Time: 11am – 1pm. The Irish Cancer Society operates a free Volunteer Driver Service that is available to patients attending the following hospitals for chemotherapy treatments; Cork University Hospital, The Mercy University Hospital & South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital. Volunteer drivers will pick a patient up at the door of their home, drop them at the hospital door and then when finished treatment, pick them up and drop them home again. All volunteer expenses are paid. Free DIY Service for Older People: Age Action’s Care & Repair programme is providing DIY work free of charge for older people in Cork. The service has been in operation since 2009 and is expanding year on year as demand grows. To inquire about the Care & Repair service or to request a job, simply call Age Action at their new office on the Model Farm Rd. MASS CARDS: A new selection of Mass cards and other cards are now available in the Parish office. Cost €2 and €3. A new collection of Baptismal candles are also available.
